The District 10 Bar & Grill outlet at Suntec City Mall is nothing like their other outlets. Do not expect the usual tapas here, this outlet specialises in dry-aged meat. I simply adore the bone-in cuts with high content of marbling. Let me warn you beforehand that the restaurant occupies quite a small space, approximately 1,800 square-foot, including the alfresco dining area. Should you prefer to sit indoors, I recommend that you make reservations first.
Honestly, nothing beats seeing Chef Luca Pezzera, the Co-owner and Executive Chef of Bonta Group, wielding a saw and explaining the various cuts.
Initially, the bread served seems like any typical bread, but just look at the cross section! Beautiful swirls! Served warm, crisp on the outside but soft on the inside.
Peruvian Handshake ($18), one of the restaurant’s signature cocktails. Encanto Pisco Achlado, fresh pineapple, fresh lime juice, sage and soda. Tasted sweet and refreshing. I heard that pineapple juice is considered a welcome drink in Peru.
Butter Lettuce Salad with Pancetta, Hazelnut, Gorgonzola and Egg ($20). One of my favourite dishes and the only greens amidst all the meats. It kinds of washes the palette for such a meat heavy meal.
Vitello Tomato, Thinly Sliced Roasted Veal Loin with Light Tuna Sauce ($24). Not a common pairing with tuna sauce, but it pulled through. However, there were a few of us who felt that the tuna overwhelmed the veal.
Puglia Burrata with Organic Cherry Tomato Basil Bruschetta ($26). Fresh and light cheese, great with the cherry tomatoes and wild rockets.
We had the honour of entering the kitchen and seeing our steaks being cooked! Also, Chef Luca slipped as some of the best parts right off the grill before the platter was served at our table.

- 45 Days Home Dry Aged Corn Fed US Prime Traditional Florentine Steak ($22/100gm, minimum order 800gm)
Other steak options include Pure Black 45 Days Home Dry Aged Grass Fed Bone-In New York Strip and Pure Black 45 days Home Dry Aged Grass Fed Rib Eye. Both require a minimum order of 200gm and go for $18/100gm. You may also choose from non-beef options like Paradise Valley Free Range Canadian Pork Chop ($54) and Australian Tomahawk Lamp Chop ($38).
Prices of side orders start from $8 for Original Fries to $14 for Cherry Tomato on Vine Salad with Basil. The choices adequately cover potatoes and greens, however if you are looking for corn or rice, you are out of luck.
Death by Chocolate, an off the menu item created by the restaurant manager. Hersey, Italian liquor Frangelico, kahlua, Baileys and hazelnut (if I did not remember wrongly). I adored this and I think most ladies will too.
Double Espresso Panna Cotta with Vanilla Sauce ($12). The dessert comes with honey, lavender and caramel bits. I preferred this to the next dessert as it is lighter and I was not looking forward to a rich dessert.
Bitter Chocolate Marshmallow Fluff with Caramelised Banana ($14), with a Digestive biscuit bottom. The dessert chef told us to start on the panna cotta first because the dessert was too cold and we would not be able to taste the full flavour.
Thoroughly impressed with the steaks! I promised my dad, the steak lover, that I would bring him here for a meal soon.
