I was dining at Pastamania with my parents at West Coast Plaza, when I looked down and a newly opened cafe at the basement caught my eye. The signage was simple in a white serif font, stark against the black background. Coffee Nowhere, a Malaysia-based cafe has opened another outlet in the west (its flagship store is at Rochester Park).
I really loved the chic black and white theme which was made the whole interior very clean and timeless.
Other than coffee and desserts, the place also offers main courses. However, we were too full from dinner to try anything from the menu.
Dad had the Glory to Glory Americano ($4.80). My sweet tooth dad needed more than one packet for this bitter brew.
I ordered the Thanksgiving Hot Chocolate ($5.80) and the Peanut Butter Molten Cake ($9.80).
When I ordered the cake, the staff told me that the peanut butter would give it a thicker consistency, but that did not explain why my molten cake was not molten at all. Instead of only being able to acquire good lava cakes, they also need to know the specific timing to heat them up to get the gooey inside to flow. If not, then it would merely be a good chocolate cake.
I must say it was a good chocolate cake nonetheless.
They are currently having a promotion at this outlet. Order from a selected range of main courses and get a complimentary coffee or soup of the day from 12 to 2pm or 6 to 8pm. Visit their Facebook page for more details.
