Isolation Day 2

I’m heavily medicated and moving around like a zombie. Very sleepy and little appetite. Actually thought I could use these two days at home to catch up with my work but I have totally no energy at all. Felt like I was getting better yesterday but the diarrhea and nausea came back again today.

Thank god for my companion at home when everyone else is at work. In between my naps I have something to play with.

Random food post

It’s depressing. I’m down with stomach flu :( bloated stomach, lots of gas, diarrhea and nausea. Hope I get better soon. I’m on two days MC and currently restricted to a soupy diet. These photos I took over the weekend will have to tide me over for a while.

Delicious pino caramel ice cream from Sushi Tei. Caramel ice cream coated in milk chocolate wrapped in a bite size package.

One of my favourite local foods. Sliced beef thick bee hoon in starchy dark brown sauce. Even better when served with boiled beef soup. Yummy!

Lastly, muffins of assorted flavors from Sweet Hut. White chocolate orange, banana walnut, blueberry, cranberry, apple raisin and double chocolate chip. From the same store, I got mini cheese tarts, pleasant dessert after a heavy meal.

New hammie, still nameless

I walked past a pet store and what do I
see? Huge brown hamsters! Five humongous ones!

After playing with them, none of the perfect ones caught my eye. It was the one with a tiny imperfection–a scar below her eye–which caught my fancy. She looked like a lady, so gentle and I just felt a connection and so now Teeny Weeny has a friend.

We got her home, cleaned the old tank and let her adjust to her new home. Quickly she started burrowing, piling bedding and of course, chomping on sunflower seeds.

See her left eye? There’s a break in her “eyeliner” and a bit of fur loss under it. But she’s still fat and adorable. Super cuddly and nice to hold too.

I’m still trying to come up with a name for her. What should I call her? Toffee? So far it has been Brown Hamster. I’m sure it will come to me soon.

Afternoon at The Central

Finally took one afternoon off the whole holiday to just go out, pamper and enjoy myself. No worries about work, just letting my hair down.

The place I went to was Bioskin at The Central, Clarke Quay. It was a very good deal, with IPL, O2 therapy, dermapeel, shoulder massage, foot pressure detox, O2 light infusion for only $88! I was literally glowing after the treatment. Now that it has been a day after, my skin is still light and smooth, not oily at all.

It was honestly the best facial I went for but I would probably never have it again as it was a one time deal. I could never afford it at its original price of $480.

After that it was dinner with the Bims Club at Billy Bomber. It had been so long since we have met up and it was laughter therapy as usual. So glad to be able to share stories and tickle our funny bones.

And that was still not the end of my day. When I got home I had two surprises waiting for me! A wedding invitation from a good friend back in high school. Wow, time really flies. Can’t wait to meet up with the gang in April to see how everyone turned out.

Last but not least, my cloud jelly Mercury case finally arrived from Korea. Don’t you just love online shopping? Talk about a world without borders.

I’m glad for such a great afternoon. Now, back to work.

Classic timepiece

Adding another watch to the collection. I realised I am now drawn more to timepieces of simple, classic and clean designs. Many would equate Timex to sports watches or accessories, and I am one of them. To my surprise, I could actually find something of such a classic design by them.

Thin straps of camel colored leather with gold plating metal hinges. Not only does it tell time but also date and day as well!

What did I have for dinner?
A mouth watering meal of garlic butter dory fillet topped with capers and accompanied by mashed potatoes with brown sauce and a side salad.

Catching up at NYDC

Before starting on my post proper, I just want to showcase my lovely nails done at cutie cuticle. Got them in a lovely shade of sky blue with cute bunny nail art and paw prints.
Simply dying in cuteness. The nail art only cost me an additional $9 for the big toes and the lovely lady did the rest for free!
And now for dinner just now. Met aunt for dinner at Al Hamra at Holland Village before moving on to NYDC for desserts. Super full. Feel like my stomach’s going to burst anytime soon and my stupid sister still made me finish the cake.

We had red velvet cake which was served warm and high and mighty 24 layered chocolate cake. Both were delicious.

My first post in WordPress :)

I’ve decided to switch to WordPress as Blogger isn’t working for me any longer. It’s difficult to use their app to upload and there is something wrong with the photo uploader. Worse still, after writing in for help two weeks ago, I have yet to receive a reply.

Prior to this, I tried Livejournal, but it wasn’t very user-friendly. So now I’m here! Let’s see how this goes :)
